College of Social Science Department of Anthropology Undergraduate Program Anthropology - Bachelor of Arts
Requirements for the Bachelor of Arts Degree in Anthropology
The University requirements for bachelor's degrees as described in the Undergraduate Education section of this catalog; 120 credits, including general elective credits, are required for the Bachelor or Arts degree in Anthropology.
The University's Tier II writing requirement for the Anthropology major is met by completing Anthropology 489. That course is referenced in item 3. a. below.

At least 3 courses from ANP courses at the 300-400 level.
At least 1 course from Additional ANP courses excluding ANP101.
Requirement 16: Major Distribution
Major Distribution: 30 credits from Anthropology courses to meet the requirement of at least 30 credits.

College - Social Science - Social Science: 15 credits from the following departments: CJ, EC, FCE, GEO, HST, LIR, PLS, PSY, SOC, SW, UP, excluding GEO203, 206, 206L.

Requirement 18: College - Social Science - Arts and Letters
College - Social Science - Arts and Letters: 9 credits from Approved courses from the College of Arts & Letters. A department or school may require its major to complete specific courses or particular subject matter areas.

College - Social Science - Natural Science: 6 credits from approved College of Natural Science courses.

College Distribution: 30 credits from courses at the 300 level and above.
