Enrollment and Degree Verification

Enrollment and degree verification provides confirmation of enrollment status or degree(s) conferred. Verification is used to confirm this information to insurance companies, lenders, employers, and other organizations.

Students

Students can generate verification letters by logging in to the Enrollment and Degree Verification Letters page with a valid MSU NetID and password.

Please note that MSU does not use the Clearinghouse transcript services. MSU students can order a transcript online, free of charge, through the Office of the Registrar website.

Professional and Business Organizations

The National Student Clearinghouse provides enrollment and degree information to professional and business organizations as Michigan State University's authorized agent. Requests may be made online, by phone, fax, email, or mail:

If your verfication request requires disciplinary records, academic integrity/dishonesty records, or if the report provided in SIS or in the clearinghouse does not provide information as requested, submit a request directly to the Office of the Registrar by completing the Verification Request Form (pdf).
