Enrollment and Degree Verification
Enrollment and degree verification provides confirmation of enrollment status or degree(s) conferred.
Verification is used to confirm this information to insurance companies, lenders, employers, and other organizations.
Students
Current and recent students may access enrollment and degree verification letters by logging into the
MSU Student Information System.
After logging in, click on the Academic Records tile and then select Enrollment Verification in the left-hand navigation.
All students, current and former, may use the
National Student Clearinghouse Student Self-Service Site, which provides additional services to students at no charge:
- Generate enrollment certificates
If you choose to use the National Student Clearinghouse enrollment certificates, please also print a copy of MSU's
authorization letter to send with the enrollment certificate.
Some professional and business organizations may require proof of this authorization to accompany a certificate.

- View the proofs of enrollment sent to student service providers
- Learn when deferment notices were sent to student lenders
- Obtain a list of student loan holders

The National Student Clearinghouse provides enrollment and degree information to professional and business organizations as

If your verfication request requires disciplinary records, academic integrity/dishonesty records, or if the report provided in SIS or in
the clearinghouse does not provide information as requested, submit a request directly to the Office of the Registrar by completing the
Verification Request Form (pdf).
