If you have an MSUNet ID, please log in now. This will assist in the verification and/or consideration of your data request.

If you received an email from the Registrar's Office and need to pick up a data request, please go to the Data Request Pickup page.

All data requests are subject to approval and compliance with FERPA(Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act) and University policy. Michigan State University does not release student names and addresses for commercial purposes. For the full University policy, see the Michigan State University Access to Student Information in the General Information, Policies, Procedures and Regulations section of Academic Programs.

Requests should only be for data under the purview of the Registrar’s Office. An overview of that data can be found on the About Us page.

If requesting Admissions or Financial Aid data, please visit Academic Services: Request for Student Data for more information. The Registrar’s Office does not provide Admissions or Financial Aid data, e.g. Pell eligibility.

Sets of data will be provided but not extensive formatting, data manipulation or calculation, e.g. time to degree; if needed, these will need to be completed from the provided data set by the requestor.

For information concerning mass e-mail distribution and/or procedures related to conducting approved research involving surveys, please review the Guidelines Regarding Bulk E-mailing by Internal Users on MSUnet.

If your request is for a Registered Student Organization, please select Registered Student Organization in the Your College drop-down to have it reviewed by Student Life.
