Students may enroll in a course as a Visitor instead of taking the course for academic credit. Visitors may attend and participate in the course, but they do not earn credit for completing the course. To earn credit, a student must enroll in the course for credit and complete the course successfully.
To enroll as a visitor, students must:
• Enroll in the course through the student information system.
• Contact the Spartan One Stop by the Open Add End Date to request visitor status.
Students cannot change to or from visitor status after the Open Add End Date.
Visitors are expected to attend class regularly. A visitor who does not attend regularly may be dropped from the course at the instructor’s request.
Courses taken as a visitor count toward a student’s enrolled credits for tuition, fees, and enrollment status.
A V (visitor) notation is recorded on the student’s transcript for courses taken as a visitor.
