Residence hall housing rates include a fully furnished room, in-room Wi-Fi, and utilities. Rates are reviewed and approved annually at a spring Board of Trustees meeting.
Housing and dining* rates for the current academic year are available at liveon.msu.edu/rates. This webpage also lists on-campus apartment rates.
Incoming students pay a $50 one-time, non-refundable housing application fee, and a $175 advance payment. The advance payment is applied to a student’s first semester bill and reduces their final balance due. The advance payment is refundable until July 15. Learn more at liveon.msu.edu/documents.
*NOTE: The Dine On Silver unlimited dining plan is included as part of the MSU housing agreement. Outside of a few residence hall-specific exceptions for second-year+ students, residential students are required to have a dining plan, which is a mandatory and binding component of the agreement. Students with medically restricted diets who may need accommodations should refer to the Dietary Accommodations Policy and review the Nutrition and Allergen webpage on Eat at State for resources.
